Katie Rose Tidwell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Katie Rose was born to parents Daisy Helton and wash Jenkins Sr. She was one of eight children Ed, Ceila Mae, Vera, Mattie, Dorothy David Louis, and Wash Jenkins Jr. Katie was loved and respected by everyone that knew her. Katie Rose attended newton elementary school and went on to Carroll high in Monroe la. She then went on to marry John Tidwell and through that union they had three children, Zina, Mabel, John Jr. After that marriage resolved, she and her children moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin, where she met Floyd Washington. From that relationship she had her baby girl Winkie and went on to single-handedly raise her children while working for Miller’s Brewery until relocating to California where she worked and retired from Wasvaco. After retirement Katie started having grandchildren and great children and spent the rest of her life being the best mom and grandmother anyone could have. Katie Rose leaves behind her children: Zina, Mabel, John and Winkie; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Katie also leaves her only surviving sibling Mrs. Mattie Hall; sisters-in-law: Mary Jenkins, Cheryl Green, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
